Mission of Encouragement:

Our Women Ministry's Mission is to take diamonds  in the rough and buff them into perfection through the Word of God so that "their light may so shine before men that they might see their good works and glorify the Father which is in heaven" (Matt. 5:16). The Women Ministry is committed to empowering women to live effective, godly lives and encouraging women to develop wholeness mentally, physically and spiritually through a practical foundation of the Word of God and a daily walk with Christ. To stride to live a stress free life!

As a woman of God we must understand the power of UNITY! In 1 Corinthians 12:1  For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. We are one in Christ! We must work together to get God's BUSINESS completed!

Establishing your inner strength to regulate your Thought Patterns which is pleasing to God. It's all in the WORD of GOD.

VISION STATEMENT

Someone once said that our life is a reflection of our attitudes and therefore having a new attitude will invariably create new results. Thus it is our mission to minister to women to help them develop new attitudes toward their circumstances and to help them rise above them.

At some point in life everyone experiences a time or season when their inner fire goes out but thanks be to God it can be rekindled through an encounter with another human being. It is our desire through the power of the Holy Spirit to be that conductor through which the Holy Spirit will re-ignite the flames of women of all cultures, races and nationalities causing them to burn brighter and further than ever before.

We also expect to witness the healing and deliverance of our sisters as we minister to their brokenness using the model of the geese.

Our strategy is synonymous to the flying pattern and family structure of the geese. Geese travel in family groupings and fly in a “V” formation. The lead goose flies ahead of the other geese breaking up the air thereby creating an updraft with his wings that causes the air to the side of him to be less turbulent which in turn makes flying easier for the other geese.

Also if a goose dies, becomes wounded or ill or is shot down, two geese drop out of formation and follow it to the ground to help protect it until it dies or can fly again.

While we can’t fly like geese, we can drop out of formation to minister to our sisters who are broken, battered, wounded, shot down and left for dead. We will stand with them in prayer and intercession until they are healed, delivered and set free.

Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.        Proverb 14:1

What does the Bible say about women? Old Testament

Genesis
Most of the Bible's teachings about women are based upon the foundation laid in Genesis. It doesn't matter whether we interpret the creation story in Genesis literally or figuratively; God's intentions for men and women are spelled out clearly.

God created the woman as a "helper" for the man:

The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."(NIV, Genesis 2:18)

However, being a "helper" does not imply that the woman was inferior or subservient to the man; the same Hebrew word, `ezer, translated as "helper," is used to describe God, Himself, in Psalms 33:20, 70:5, 115:9-11. In fact, God created both men and women in His own image and made them equal custodians of all His creation:

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground." (NRSV, Genesis 2:27-28)

When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God. He created them male and female and blessed them. And when they were created, he called them "man."(NIV, Genesis 5:1-2)

But the man and woman, Adam and Eve, disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden. God gave each of them punishments before evicting them from the Garden: We are in this battle together!

Unity In the Body of Christ                 Ephesians (4:1-16)

The Apostle reiterates this lesson of the oneness of the Church as one body of many members, under one Head, Christ Jesus, and united by one spirit--the spirit of love. He exhorts all such members to walk worthy of their calling in lowliness, meekness, long-suffering, forbearing one another in love; endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. In this chapter the Apostle sets forth the various members of the body appointed to special services in it, and tells us the object of the service; saying: "he gave some [to be] apostles and some prophets and some evangelists and some pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry [preparing them for the glorious ministry or service of the Millennial Kingdom], for the edifying [building up] of the body of Christ: till we all attain unto the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a full-grown man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: that we,...speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the Head, even Christ: from whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth... maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love." (Eph. 4:11-16)

Research
Encouragement is the root for many of life’s most amazing testimonies. Do you have an encouraging story to share? We would love to hear it! Encouraging stories can be shared to touch hearts with hope and the truth of the power of encouragement.

Goal:
To create encouragement as a daily part of our life. he make-up of our character.

Are you in need of encouragement?

In the old testament a story relates to King David having what most would consider a really bad day.

How did King David get his encouragement and create a completely new outcome?

Read 1 Samuel 30 and beyond... what started off as a tough day soon became a major victory... the power of encouragement!

1 Samuel 30

"David and his men reached Ziklag on the third day. Now the Amalekites had raided the Negev and Ziklag. They had attacked Ziklag and burned it, and had taken captive the women and all who were in it, both young and old. They killed none of them, but carried them off as they went on their way.

When David and his men came to Ziklag, they found it destroyed by fire and their wives and sons and daughters taken captive. So David and his men wept aloud until they had no strength left to weep. David's two wives had been captured—Ahinoam of Jezreel and Abigail, the widow of Nabal of Carmel. David was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning him; each one was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters. But David found encouragement in the LORD his God. "

Now lets remember that David was with 600 fighting men. His encouragement reservoir was so filled and overflowing with encouragement that he was able to turn the tide— and with 400 men went after the enemy. They found the Amalekites and fought from dusk until the evening of the next day. The result… everything was recovered, nothing was missing. And from the abundance of the wealth, David was able to give back to the surrounding towns and regions.

Note: Encouragement in the KJV is translated as strength in the NIV.
